Description
Holding a perfectly formed flower and dressed in gently flowing robes, this radiant young woman bears Dali’s most famous symbol… the melting watch, which hints at the human construction of the nature of time. The artist allows the wattch to pose the question – is beauty dependant on time, or is it eternal? The clock alludes to the woman’s awareness that beauty can be independant of time, whether it is corporeal grace or an ethereal rose.
