Description

Salvador Dali earned himself a very special place not only in the history of art, but in the history of the 20th century as a whole. He was not only a great artist, but a sculptor, writer and an extraordinary character. In his works one could spot different motives, such as : love, fear, sex, and death. The suite ‘Les Vitraux’ was created by Dali for a stained glass project  for the Teatro-Museu in Figueras. It was designed to open and close slowly  in accordion pleats, however,  the mechanism failed over time. Therefore, the only things remaining of this magnificent work are these lithographs.
